Very interesting indeed. We all know we give up some of our privacy whenever we use a digital service - a toll road payment, a grocery loyalty card, Facebook itself. So it’s up to us as consumers to know the rules and decide what to share.

Regarding the thread of “more questions than answers” on InQtel and the CIA, it seems to me more far-fetched… is the implication that the US government may be trying to detect terrorist activity by sifting through Facebook data? or that any terrorist worth their salt would share their itineraries and purchase history on Facebook? Hmmm. What do you think?

hi paola, i agree with you, these things are a little far-fetched.

however, i just cannot help myself thinking why are these persons so deeply connected to facebook.

it is hard to think them able to separate completely their past, or even worse, their *common* past, with the activities that they currently manage.

i have no clue at all on what is being done with all the in-site and off-site data that facebook gathers, i just believe that it is necessary to ask the question.
